A user by the name of Jesterofgames presented me a feat that I had totally forgot about. It was the feat of Rom being able to use Northern Cross and opponents being able to dodge it
- The feat itself can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FeyFGVrbGs
It might sound simple, but the actual description is where things get rather interesting. The attack description of the move goes as follows:
“ | Rom's super move. A wide range attack using the Northern Cross that shines as a part of Cygnus. | „ |
~ Northern Cross's description |
So what this means is, Rom is basically summoning light from a star, specifically a star within the Cygnus Constellation. You see where I'm getting out here, so basically an attack that comes lightyears away and really fast...Seems like a measurable calc to work with
- The closest star in the Cygnus Constellation is 61 Cygni, which is 11.4 Lightyears away
- The timeframe in which the attack is able to reach the planet is roughly 3-4 seconds (leaning on 3 but just saying 4 as a backup)
So now that we have both our timeframe and also distance...You know the drill, here comes the results
- When using the 3 second end, you get 119,920,968c (119 Million times FTL; Massively FTL+)
- Finally, when using 4 seconds, you get 89,940,726c (89 Million times FTL; Massively FTL+)
Update: Epsilon Cygni[]
So, I accidently downplayed the calculation and I just used the stars from Cygnus, instead of using the actual stars from Northern Cross. When you actually do that, you find that the closest star in the the Northern Cross, is Epsilon Cygni, which is 72 Lightyears away. So whoops there, I kinda messed up, but it's fine
- When you use the 4 second end, you get 568,046,691c (568 Million times FTL; Massively FTL+)
- We finish this off with the 3 second end, which gets us 757,395,588c (757 Million times FTL; Massively FTL+)
Conclusions[]
This adds yet another MFTL+ feat to Neptunia and with this, I can say that such speeds are consistent for base CPUs. Not only does Rom do this whilst in base, meaning this scales to her base form, but another accepted calc is Neptune being able to fly parsecs in space, which also hits the MFTL+ ranges. So it's rather consistent for them to scale that high
