Introduction[]

It was on May 26th of 2020 where the first Hololive profile was made on this wiki. Ever since then, a lot of flack has been thrown at the pages, with many seeing V-Tubers being Tier 4 or even the likes of Tier 5 as absurd. This is fine cause nobody would expect Hololive and to extension, Nijisanji to be this powerful, however, the many people who disagree with these ratings lack context and lore for a lot of them. What this blog intends to do illustrate two things, which is why they are rated the way they are and how Hololive should be treated in regards to scaling/debating in my personal (but heavily substantiated) opinion

In essence, this should be looked at as an ultimate compilation blog of feats and statements, mainly helping it's ratings feel more sustained. I technically had already made blogs on this before but since people don't see to look, I'm going to mention everything here. That being said, hopefully this will put all the Hololive shade to rest, at least as far as scaling goes and this wiki

Part #1: Consistency[]

This is something I want to touch on first, as it illustrates my points the most and helps my case. For those people who do doubt Hololive's current ratings, may I ask you this ? Why is it so consistent and above all, why are so many of the feats done on such level always done so casually at that ? Let's actually take a look at all the feats themselves to compare. i'm going to be mentioning all feats in Hololive that hit Tier 6, Tier 5 and of course, Tier 4, mainly to illustrate a point that I'll mention after listing them off

Tier 6[]

Tier 5[]

Tier 4[]

Now, you may be wondering ? What was the purpose of me doing this...It's to illustrate just how more consistent Tier 4 appears across Nijisanji and Hololive, so to say that it's inconsistent and an outlier is outlandish at worst here. Keep in mind, all these feats have one thing in common, most of them were done without much struggle. Korone casually caused a supernova, Haachama easily destroyed a planet with a small blast and so on

Keep in mind, I didn't even mention the infamous Minecraft feat, which I definitely will cover because people miscontextualize that one so badly, that it's kinda the reason why I even made this to begin with

Part #2: Canon[]

One thing that I have heard, that quite frankly I have to touch on here is canon. People don't understand that Hololive canon is nonexistent, as in, everything under the sun is canon in relation to it, including other agencies such as Nijisanji. The reasoning on why I'm bringing this point to light, is cause I've seen people attempt to argue we can't use their streams and other appearances as a means of gauging and that we should only use "the anime"

Well I'm going to explain why that's just wrong and surprisingly, it's not that hard considering the nature of V-Tubers. So with that being said, lemme debunk the notion of Hololive having a "canon" and it not being canon to Nijisanji, both of which are absolutely true

Nijisanji & Hololive Connections[]

Really, this is not even the tip of the iceberg, as luckily there's an entire playlist cataloging the multiple times Hololive and Nijisanji have both referenced/appeared in each others material. However, what I find most ironic about this is even in the Hololive anime, aka the "canon", it's shown that Hololive and other agencies are connected, such as the time that Yomemi appeared in Hololive

Another thing to note is, everything suggests they share the same cosmology as well, the fact Korone appears in the demon realm, implying that their the same demon realm across both series or how about the fact the "virtual" world is consistently referrenced across both series as well. So not only do they appear in each other's series but even the same terminology is being used, so what else proves their canoncity

Azur Lane Is Canon[]

There are more instances of Azur Lane being brought up in the verse and keep in mind, I am already expecting one certain type of refute to come and don't worry, I'm going to bring it to attention when I actually get around to debunking some arguments that have been used or could potentially be used to demean my point. That aside, to say that Azur Lane is not a thing in Hololive is absurd as I've shown at least 4 instances of it being mentioned, alongside it's characters and or events

Part #3: Context[]

This is the part I want to cover the most and honestly, it's kinda the reason why I wanted to make this blog in the first place. That being said, this section is mainly meant to add more context to feats that we use here and explain why we consider them valid for use. I've seen so many people not understand the context to these feats and it's no wonder that many who do often oppose Hololive suffer from the Dunning Kruger Effect. That aside, with context, these feats should make a bit more sense and explain why they are acceptable

The Resource Server[]

Oh boi, here we go, this is probably the most controversial thing we use on this wiki to support 4-A Hololive/Nijisanji. The common complaint is that "YoU CaN'T UsE ThAT BeCAuSE It'S JuST StrEAms", which is completely missing the context behind said feat and acting as if you know more than what you do. Lemme explain why there's absolutely nothing wrong with using this

Remember Azur Lane ? Well guess what, that same game gives context to The Resource World and why it should absolutely be used for scaling purposes. In the game, we get a confirmation that The Resource Server is a concrete place, not just something on a stream but a very real place that physically exists

That, and blocks of TNT. They work slightly differently compared to back on the Hololive Server, but they still explode just as well!
Back then I figured I'd need them at some point, so I hid stores of them all over the place, although I'm not sure if they're still there..
Anyhoo, this place you call a "Mirror Sea" seems to be similar to the Hololive Server in a lot of ways!
Hmm... The foundation of the Hololive Server... Maybe she means the Hololive Headquarters? Would make sense, as we're all part of Hololive.
We did find a massive maze that wasn't there yesterday, though.
Massive maze? You mean the labyrinth I made?
And I wanna go with Fubuki! Besides, I made the labyrinth in the first place and know where all the traps are. I'll be your guide!

Now, that's a lot of quotes and I do apologize for that but I wanted to hammer in just how consistent this is. Keep in mind, not even close to the amount of the times The Resource Server is referred to as a real place and or is suggested to be a physical location that indeed exists. So, why is this important to note, well, it substantiates the notion that The Resorce Server is a realm that exists but is simply meant to appear in a Minecraft format and reference it

To dissmiss this as "the characters are just streaming it" is so dumb and that's not even for reasons above either, which blatantly contradicts this but for another reason I'll bring to the table much later

Korone Busts The Sun[]

Okay, this is less about providing context and going against a double standard that I've seen applied to Hololive for whatever reason. One argument as to why people tend to reject this feat or consider it dubious is the fact that The Sun appears the next scene....Guys, do you know what type of series Hololive is right ? It's a parody series that doesn't take itself seriously and has basically toonforce logic to it. For example, in Looney Tunes, there are many instances of cosmic scale shit happening that isn't referenced the next episode and or is returned to normal moments later...That's just how cartoons work and we don't ignore feats done by Bugs Bunny or Courage, so why Hololive suddently

The only time feats are rejected is when they are outliers, which as I've shown way back, definitely isn't the case with how consistent Tier 4 appears in the scaling for the verse. You can't also argue it didn't happen because it clearly did just was reverted because basic cartoon logic 101 is that things happen for the sake of a joke and even the so called most reliable scaling site, Vs Battle Wiki agrees with this notion as well

AZKi Creates A World[]

This is yet another one that people seem to think they know but really don't. There is a feat of AZKi being able to create her own realm that contains a starry skyand many have tried to cast this off as "HURR DURR EFFECTS", which no...That's not even remotely true when you have context behind it. Isn't it funny how all people who oppose a lot of this stuff lack context and simply speak without knowing much of the series and or out of bias

That aside, this isn't effects because it's told to us that AZKi can create worlds and this is in a literal sense too considering it's proven many times such as with Sora, who created The Resource Server

A diva who became reborn into the virtual world in order to fabricate a new world. No matter the time, place, or position, she warps through all the barricades with her dazzling talent.
A diva accompanied by a virtual world reincarnated to create a new world with a brilliant talent that jumps over time, place, and space

Here are both translations of this. I understand that both can come off as flowery as hell but it doesn't matter cause context is key here. It's proven that

  1. V-Tubers can create things from nothing, even realms
  2. The title of songs relate to the content. This further contextualizes the above claim
  3. It can't refer to the Virtual World considering that's where she reincarnated to

So with all this context, I can at least say it's likely that AZKi did actually create world and it wasn't some metaphorical nonsense

Choco Absorbs Galaxy[]

So this is yet another feat I see gets dissmissed and honestly, I can understand why, it was stated to be a dream...This would be a valid argument until, ah yes, you guessed it, context completely goes against this. I'm beginning to notice a pattern here, perhaps Dunning Kruger Effect...That aside, in Hololive/Nijisanji, it's proven that dreams are a real place and are manifested into reality, which can be visited. So yes, a dream realm does exist in Hololive and this is suggested by Belmond's official bio

Frank personality but sometimes mean. According to him, it has already existed since the creatures began to dream. Currently, he is the master of a store that anyone who dreams can come to, and he is capriciously inviting customers of various races. I'm worried that I can't prove my identity in the real world because I don't have a family register.

So with the implication that a dream world exists, this means the feat did indeed happen and as such, it should still be used for Hololive/Nijisanji top-tiers, who likely scale above Choco. This wouldn't scale to her normal stats because she normally isn't this powerful and can eventually become this strong through growth. Either way, the bottom line is, yes, this feat is real and can be used to scale

Part #4: Addressing Arguments[]

There have been countless arguments thrown around and honestly, I'm going to take this opportunity to just debunk everything that has been used or can be used within reason. So yeah, this might be a bit of a lengthy section, not sure if this will be more so than Part 3 but ehh, whatever

Argument #1: Sora & A-Chan Did Not Create Resource World[]

I remember an argument saying that neither of the two created the realms and that "The Player" did...Umm, who's that because such a character doesn't exist in Hololive nor it's lore, what is told to us by Suisei is that A-Chan and Sora created the realm itself

Unless you want to argue the existence of Minecraft's player being a thing in Hololive, this is a baseless claim and unless you want to say Suisei is a liar, which has no foundation to it whatsoever, then you also can't deny this feat for similar reasons. So in essence, this has no arguments against it

Argument #2: Streams Should Not Be Used[]

Okay, so this is just wrong. Even without using evidence from the series itself, that doesn't even make sense as that's like saying we shouldn't scale Ronald McDonald using the original commercials in which he appeared in. The streams are the closest thing to a "main canon" that the series has and should absolutely be used

But wanna know what's worse, even the series itself doesn't agree with that notion as it's revealed to us that whenever V-Tubers stream, that isn't them playing a character but is their literal selves on screen, meaning that within Hololive's universe, streaming is just that character interacting with us. One prime example was the fac that Sakura Miko taking Aki's pigtails (which happened on the anime; Sadly that episode got privated but I did find stills) was referenced and was a canonical reason why Aki may not have her pigtails in her streams but above all, it shows that the streams are just the characters themselves in-universe. Keep in mind this is also stated in countless character bios as well

Argument #3: The Stars In Ars's Realm Are Fale[]

One argument I've seen to dissmiss Ars's feat is that the stars in the realm are fake. People follow up by using the stars on the ground to say that those are the same in the sky and thus are fake...This is wrong because of two things

  1. The ones in the sky twinkle and function like actual stars
  2. We have a shot that shows the two are being different

So no, Ars's dimension does contain real stars and thus is applicable for the Starry Sky calculation to be used

Argument #4: Ars Didn't Create The Realm[]

Nope, this is wrong for many reasons. It's not only called "her background"and her world but several other implications would suggest she did indeed create this realm. For one thing, it's related to her and it's one only she has been shown to access + Ars Almal is a anti-social person who likes to seclude herself from interaction, also not liking to go to mysterious places

This would have to be her realm for those reasons, otherwise it not only contradicts Ars herself calling it both her world and background but also her character, which explictly doesn't like interaction and prefers seclusion from others

Another argument that's used an extension of this is that "Ars saying it's her background means she just changed screens, thus not usable"...No, for one thing, this ignores that V-Tubers can't change their backgrounds in a 3-D stream and that those are operated by external forces, such as graphics designers. Ars stating it's her "background" and "her world" is in universe and meant to suggest she created this realm and or holds dominion over it

Argument #5: We Don't Know How Marine Created Serpens[]

That doesn't matter because we have three wo possibilities here that would both scale to V-Tubers irregardless

  • Possibility #1: Marine created the serpens constellation herself
  • Possibility #2: The snake created the constellation
  • Possibility #3: Marine turned the snake into a constellation

So as you can see above, it doesn't matter which possibility we pick here because all of them scale back to Marine in same form and as such, would scale to the entire cast once more. If Marine created the constellation, she's High 4-C, if the snake created constellation, then it's High 4-C and Marine was shown to be more powerful than it and if Marine turned the snake into serpens, then she's still High 4-C

Either way you stratch things here, Marine would scale to this feat and thus it would support Tier 4 Hololive

Argument #6: Shion's Statements Are Hyperboles/Unreliable[]

This would imply that Shion doesn't know the limits of her magical prowess and that she is just wrong, which is a dumb assertion to make considering she comes from a school of magic and is one of the best mages in the series. You are going to lead me to believe that she suddenly doesn't know her power and that she's just flat out ignorant of such a huge statement...No, she is correct and this is supported with how much it's repeated in media with her, including official bios also citing it as a truth

So either way, Shion can planet bust, there isn't much room for debating against this

Argument #7: If Korone Destroyed The Sun, Why Is There Light[]

Well, looks like someone doesn't know science. If our sun were to go supernova, it would look like this

To long didn't read, the light wouldn't suddenly dissappear from the sky, in fact, it would appear brighter than usual and what do you know, that exact same occurence happens in the same scene...What do you know, it's almost as if Korone did destroy the sun

Argument #8: If Korone Destroyed The Sun, Why Is Earth In Tact[]

We dunno if Earth was in tact because the scene literally cuts to black. It is back to normal the next moment but so what, that's just standard cartoon logic and I've already touched upon that earlier. In essence, the feat isn't invalid and it's perfectly fine, so the Earth argument doesn't work here at all

Argument #9: These Are Outliers[]

I pretty much debunked the shit out of that in Part 1 and 2 of this blog...In short, no, it's really not

Argument #10: Tier 5 And Tier 4 Doesn't Feel Right[]

You know what else doesn't

  • Link being universal
  • SMT Humans being multiversal
  • Cloud being Solar System or higher

The list goes on, just because it doesn't feel right, it doesn't matter because this is fiction and above all, this is powerscaling. What we go off of is feats/statements or whatever can be used to justify a rating

Conclusions[]

This was a bit of a lengthy one but at the end of the day, I think I made my point clear. Hololive should easily be within the Tier 5 and Tier 4 catagories, as it's consistently supported and above all, nothing contradicts it heavy. I would also like to address that Hololive canon is silly and that most things related to it are canon to some degree and are applicable to use. I've had to deal with several people calling Hololive ratings on here wank but it's funny how many people who do so suffer from Dunning Kruger Effect...That aside, we are done here, bottom line, Hololive it Tier 5 & Tier 4
