Omniversal Battlefield Wiki
Resource World

Introduction[]

It appears to be that time of the month again, the one where we make yet another Hololive blog and explain stuff from the verse. If you have browsed this wiki long enough, you'd already know that the Hololive pages, while immensely popular, also have a ton of contention in regards to their scaling. I do believe I've done more than enough on my part to counter many of the claims against the scaling here with these blogs but I wanna tackle one specific feat.

The feat in question is the The Resource World and characters who are capable of creating them. Whenever this is brought up, a ton of arguments that usually revolve around "These are minecraft streams and not real" or "they aren't big worlds and are small". These arguments are wrong and lack context, of which I have gone other in my blog explaining the consistency of Tier 4 for the verse, but now that I've been doing some digging into Hololive's lore, I wanna compile all evidence I can to debunk the notion that these are unusable and are "fake worlds". So now that we've set up the background for this, let's just get into the blog shall we ?

What Is The Resource World[]

Outside of Hololive, the Resource World is simply a server where V-Tubers do their Minecraft streaming content. Within the confines of Hololive's universe, it's stated that The Resource World is a personal world created by both A-Chan and Sora as a place where Hololive members can farm resources, hang out or do whatever. These two things have led people to believing that this server is just simply fictional place and doesn't actually exist within the lore. This would be wrong as Azur Lane would actually go on the clarify what The Resource World is and one of it's first descriptors goes as follows:

In front of me were countless islands, and in the distance there were huge man-made structures.

If you look closely, the nature and structures of the island seem to be made up of countless colored blocks.

Bad replicas of the real world-giving everyone that impression

~ Looking Glass of Fact and Fiction - Chapter 3

As seen above, it's directly stated that The Resource World isn't actually a Minecraft world but a concrete location that mimics the appearance of Minecraft. We can tell this is the case given it's said that "the island seem to be made up of countless colored blocks" and the fact these blocks are "bad replicas of the world". The obvious intent is that The Resource World just simply looks like Minecraft but actually isn't and thus any argument of it being "simply Minecraft" is wrong

This isn't even the only time, in the same story we have prime examples of this also being the case. Fubuki reaffirms that this world exists and this is proven by the fact she states this:

Basically, it's like a secret base of ours. We often bring our friends here to build stuff or hang out.

A secret base? But there was never anything in this area prior to this...

We were just building stuff like usual, then this blinding light appeared outta nowhere... Next thing we know, a Siren fleet is attacking us, and our friends are nowhere to be seen...

~ Looking Glass of Fact and Fiction - Chapter 5

Once more, we get a confirmation that the Hololive server is a real location, as Fubuki and various other V-Tubers physically travel there to hang our or build things on their free time. Everything that was built on the streams such as the bases, homes and all that other jazz are real objects and constructs that they made personally within this world and recognize. This is also supported by the fact Fubuki claims "this blinding light appeared outta nowhere", which indicates it happened to them directly and once more proves the world is a concrete part of the verse's cosmology

Once more, we still aren't done here as there's even more evidence that this is a real place and it once again comes from Fubuki. When transported to a Mirror Sea that literally is just a mimic of Hololive's Resource World. She states the following:

The what? The "Hololive Resistance Base"?

You heard right! It's a place we made before we got transported here, and it somehow carried over. We've got plenty of items stocked, and might be able to resupply you with ammo and stuff!

In other words, there's a high chance this place is a recreation of the world you came from?

Yup, yup. You can see everything from here, including the Hololive headquarters and most other Hololive Server facilities.

~ Looking Glass of Fact and Fiction - Chapter 7

Fubuki just outright confirms that The Resource World is real because this Mirror Sea, which is basically a reflection of Hololive's reality, is a "recreation" of the world they came from. What this is getting at here is that The Resource World did exist in Hololive's universe and once more, it should be treated as a physical location as opposed to just merely streams. Even Mio chimes in and states that it was made by the V-Tubers themselves, backing up Zuikaku when she claims they live there

Let's just give them a straight answer, Fubuki.

Basically, one of our friends made this place to get back at our managers. Hololive is just a fun group of people, we're not at war with anyone!

Okay, so if I got it right: you're from a world called Hololive, and live in a place called the Hololive Server, and you like to screw with your kind-of-evil managers?

More or less.

~ Looking Glass of Fact and Fiction - Chapter 7

So yeah, even Mio agrees with Fubuki here and has the same observations as she does. The bottom line here is that The Resource World actually does exist and it's a place that V-Tubers can actually travel to if they desire it. This is also important for scaling because V-Tubers are capable of creating these worlds, we already know that Sora and A-Chan have created their own Resource World but we also have various others like Minato Aqua and a multitude of Nijisanji V-Tubers who also do the same.

Given that these things contains a sun and a moon, alongside a visible starry sky with countless stars, it goes without being said that those who can create these realms are rated as 4-A per this calculation that goes over the yield for creating starry skied dimensions. I would also like to note that Azur Lane is absolutely fair game because of how Hololive's canon works, so this argument of non-canonicity doesn't sway here (and it doesn't help that there's already evidence it's canon anyways)

Supporting Arguments[]

Even if we don't use Azur Lane as an argument here, I can still make the case that Resource World feats are applicable and one of the major pieces of evidence of this stems from various medias such as canonical comics and just general rules of how the verse works. This section won't be as robust as the last one but it's still nonetheless packed with information that matters

Official Hololive Comics[]

In a canonical comic that appears on Calliope's channel, we get yet another confirmation that The Resource World is an actual location that exists and can be interacted with by V-Tubers. The context here is that Calli is trying to make a diamond sword and the kicker here is that she's physically in The Resource World alongside Ina as well. What this is implying is that The Resource World exists and all the Hololive streams that revolve around Minecraft were just merely real life situations for the characters themselves.

If Pekora goes into a cave to mine diamonds on stream, within lore, she canonically did do that and it actually happened within the verse. So the relationship between the streams and the lore is that simply they are displays of a character's current situation. This is further suggested by an official manga that features Sora, which suggests that whenever V-Tubers get on stream, they are just recording themselves in person.

V-Tubers Already Can Create Realms[]

The last supporting piece of evidence I wanna bring in, mainly to the idea that A-Chan and Sora creating this place is that we already have prove that V-Tubers can create realms from nothing and or can just create things from nothing. One of the biggest examples of this is Ars Almal being able to create her own isolated space that also contains a starry sky or the multitude of managers such as Enma, who's able to create her own Resource World but for Hololive English

The list goes on but the idea that A-Chan and Sora created this world themselves (assuming Suisei is just outright wrong; We have no reason to assume this but we will go down this route anyways). Some people have contention with the idea they created it with them power but that's illogical because it's stated so but also we have clear examples of V-Tubers using powers to create places or objects

Conclusions[]

This will likely be the last time I talk about this but the point is clear...The Resource World IS REAL. There is no ands or ifs about it, it's a real place that exist within the verse and anyone who can create one should scale to it.
