Hololive: Scaling & Feat Explanation

Introduction[]

It's been a minute since I've done a blog, much less on Hololive of all series. As I mentioned before, one of our more infamous pages on the wiki is that of the Hololive pages, which many people have been in contention with for a while. I made a blog dispelling most arguments against where they are rated here, however, I wanna take things a step further and explain why V-Tubers are indeed scalable to one another and a lot of other claims that our wiki is known for

What this blog seeks to do is explain WHY Hololive is scaled the way it is and not just showcasing the feats. Stuff such as why are V-Tubers comparable, why do they having a holding back tier and so many things that might be confusing to someone not really that huge into Hololive. So with that being said, let's get into this

Why Are V-Tubers Comparable ?[]

This is the one thing that people may be wondering and the answer is quite simple. We have a multitude of examples that showcase V-Tubers are generally comparable to one another, whether it be from cross material that connects back to the "main" timeline or stuff from the "main" timeline itself. All in all, there's tons of things to suggest this

I can keep going on with just Dawn of The Breakers alone. A game that is canonical BTW given that Roboco just literally walked from her world to this world, meaning they exist in the same reality

But I assume that cross material doesn't work for you...Well, even in the main anime and streams, there are also examples of V-Tubers being comparable to one another

This literally isn't even a fraction of all the time this has happened either. The bottom is that V-Tubers are generally comparable to one another and even the "human" V-Tubers can spar with the ones who are treated as superhuman/supernatural entities. This completely destroys any notion they are "normal humans" (which the series stresses anyways)

Do V-Tubers Hold Back[]

Yes, they do as we have many statements and stuff that indicates V-Tubers aren't always showcasing the upper level of their power. While it isn't admittedly clear when they do, it should be assumed that friendly interactions is them just holding back. Either way, here are some examples of them holding back

These are just two examples, there are more but these are very explicit enough to suffice. The point that's being made here is that V-Tubers aren't always showcasing 4-A power but hold back whenever they don't feel a need to get serious. The best feat we have when a V-Tuber is holding back is from Korone and Okayu destroying the sun and tanking it afterwards, which is 4-B per the size of Hololive's sun)

Funnily enough, we've gotten more feats that support not just Hololive being Tier 4 but also 4-B as well when holding back. This once again hammers in the notion

Koyori is stated to have destroyed the sun in this alternative timeline where Suisei is president (keep in mind, nothing about Koyori has changed, so it's not like some drastically different reality or anything, thus it's scalable to the "main" Koyori)
There's also Haachama also being implied to be capable of destroying the sun per Rushia's wishes

So yeah, not only do V-Tubers hold back but even when casual, their feats cap out to be 4-B

2-A Hololive ?[]

This is something that is recent and something people might be confused on...Well, it stems from Sora scaling to Kizuna A.I and also the avatars of The Council (see the next section for more clarity). For context, Sora was one of the few V-Tubers who were capable of challenging Kizuna for control over the world and being the prime V-Tubers (wish I could find the translated version but the English auto-translation was mostly correct from what someone told me at least). People are quick to say "they are just playing a game" or "they are just referring to the game" but you also have to understand that this was a battle to replace Kizuna A.I, meaning that whomever one would get her powers or would be as powerful. While Sora has gone on record to say she's weaker, it is also shown she still is comparable nonetheless and thus would be 2-A per scaling reasons

Another thing that supports her scaling to 2-A is the fact that The Council are scared of Sora and refuse to anger her at all costs. Normally I wouldn't use fear as prime argument but there should be no reason that two characters supposedly FAR above her are also scared of her either.

This (Possibly) Scales to HoloX[]

For once who have looked at the Hololive X pages, you notice that they have a "possibly 2-A" rating and this comes from scaling to Sora and A-Chan (alongside other powerhouses in Hololive). Sakamata Chloe was confident in her ability to overthrow Hololive and take over it. The funny thing is even Sora supported this and believed it would be possible for her to do so. The big issue as to why this isn't concrete is it's unknown if Sora was just being nice or really meant it (given Sora's character of being friendly and reassuring) + even Chloe herself was unsure if she really could

These factors are what make HoloX V-Tubers a "possibly" when it comes to scaling to Sora and the upper tiers in the verse. The possibility and uncertainty means they should still be possibly this level otherwise Sora wouldn't see her as even capable of doing so. We have many times where Sora has dismissed and looked down upon people who challenged her, such as Minato Aqua, who didn't have a shred of fear towards and didn't take her serious in comparison to Chloe

Council Scaling[]

This is the part I wanna tackle most, considering the huge amounts of lore surrounding The Council and given they are important to the general scaling of things. I deemed it fit to give them a section of their own, as there's quite a bit to cover here (HEH). So let's get into this because it's fairly important to support Tier 4 Hololive + other stuff

Why Does The Council Vary In Power[]

This is due in part to the fact The Council utilize avatars whilst their physical bodies are part of the "mortal realm". In other words, The Council interacts with the world through physical vessels according to the introduction videos. Why they vary is because we have evidence that their avatars can vary in power as well

Sana is a prime example of how The Council can vary, typically lowering power to operate on a conventional level. Her whole gimmick is that she utilizes a limiter to suppress her power and also size
We also known this limits her power cause when she takes it off, she completely destroys the solar system instantly

Given that The Council are all similar in nature sans the ideas they embody, it's very likely that the other Council have a similar situation. Hell, Kronii outside even says before that she can't maintain body in the universe and hence why she came to the world as a head, once again indicating she limits herself to some degree

What Scale Does Avatars Operate On[]

If Mumei's introduction wasn't enough, we basically known that the upper extend in which Avatars can effect things is the conventional multiverse. We know this considering that Amelia's multiversal counterparts all fighting against Kronii only effected space-time across different dimensions and not time on all levels of the multiverse

This means that Sana's big bang was also likely on this scale, especially considering that the cosmology and it's laws were already established by The Gods beforehand. This is supported by the fact that Kronii also reversed time as well but it again didn't effect the higher end of the cosmology

The conclusion is that the avatars of The Council are only multiversal in scale and operation. So essentially they can effect things up to a 4-D level (although they can travel to higher dimensions without problem, as evidenced by Kronii traveling to the 5th dimension no problem)

Conclusions[]

There is a lot to go over when it comes to Hololive and it's position in scaling. This isn't the only blog I'll make but I do hope this at least explains the rationale behind a lot of ratings and the likes. So yeah, with that being said, V-Tubers should all be comparable to one another, even when holding back (which is something I established they could and frequently do) and upon other things. All in all, I feel this blog at least has a strong foundation and thus it's finished
