Introduction[]
This is a blog I've been wanting to do for a while and honestly, I feel if I don't do it sooner then I will forget. So let's get this out the way, many things on our Hololive profiles can be confusing and what I want to do with this blog is explain some of the more seemingly odd things that are accepted as being okay to mention on the profile. This includes haxes that are shared among V-Tubers, the nature of certain abilities and other things that can't really be explained properly on the pages themselves (without a wall of text attached to them at least)
There isn't one thing I intend to cover but a wide array of things. This isn't even exclusive to abilities but it's other things too, like lore that is confusing and that I feel isn't elaborated as well on the pages themselves (such as Sora and Iroha's existence as The Goddess for example). That being said, let's get into this since we have quite a bit of ground to cover
Why Do V-Tubers Scale To Each Others Abilities ?[]
This is something that actually isn't elaborated on the pages but there's quite of bit of reasoning as to why V-Tubers have a general set of abilities that is common to V-Tubers and not specific V-Tubers. From an in-universe perspective, this is supported by the fact that V-Tubers aren't just an occupation but mere akin to a job class. We can deduce this being the case because individuals are turned into V-Tubers through gems, implying that all V-Tubers share the same source of power via the gems
We also know these gems are connected to The V-Tubers and their nature, case in point with the fact that gems can alter and transform V-Tubers themselves. This happened with both Botan and Pekora, whom of which transformed to combat Marine and co. after they were possessed by Koyori's mind controlling glasses and corrupted the gems themselves. So what all of this means is that V-Tubers have the same source of power and thus there should be no reason the general abilities one can do solely out of being a V-Tuber can't be done by another V-Tuber
Keep in mind, all abilities listed on the profile are ones that are proven to show up consistently among various V-Tubers, so that suggests it's not an ability related to a specific V-Tuber (An example being AZKi's ability to manipulate plot also being done by Mio and several others, suggesting it's just a general thing V-Tubers can do). So yeah, in the end, this is why V-Tubers share many of the same haxes despite not all of them displaying the ability to do certain abilities
Mid-Godly Regeneration to High-Godly Regeneration[]
This is something I wanted to revise for a while and this relates to the regenerative abilities of V-Tubers, specifically how I think the pages downplay them. So currently, all V-Tubers are listed as having Mid-Godly Regen for the fact that many V-Tubers can come back from being erased from existence. This sounds like textbook Mid-Godly but you have to also contextualize it with the mechanics of Hololive's verse, specifically how The Void relates to one's own existence
What I mean is, in Hololive, being erased is being sent to The Void and this is an important detail to note because The Void itself is pure nonexistence, being the opposition to Sana's "Space" (which in Hololive is also the concept of "existence"; Further supported by the fact "Space" is considered a 1 in opposition to The Void's {conceptual nonexistence} existence, which is considered a 0). So why does any of this matter ? What, what is suggests is that being erased in Hololive requires the total erasure of a being, including the very concept of their existence and ergo, any V-Tuber who can regenerate from being erased would have High-Godly for the fact they can regenerate from conceptual erasure
Why Does V-Tubers Have Type 5 Immortality[]
This one is a bit weird but to explain why this is the case, we also have to explain how "death" works in Hololive. Pulling from my cosmology post, specifically the section on The Underworld, it's indicated that one doesn't truly "die" until their soul passes through The River Styx. We know this to be the case as Ollie, underwent a fatal event and WAS going to go into The Underworld to pass on but didn't and thus it caused here to come back as an undead
The reason this matters is because V-Tubers never go to The Underworld upon dying, their souls remain in the location they "died" in. This means that V-Tubers are outside the bounds of life and death on the basis that they don't actually "die" in a conventional sense but simple another process happens to them (whether that be regeneration or something else entirely). For all intended purposes, this means V-Tubers have Deathless Immortality
What Is "The Goddess" & Why Is It Relevant To Sora or Iroha[]
This too also is a bit weird but nonetheless to explain that, it stems from a multitude of things. To understand this, you have to first understand that nature of both Sora and Iroha, that being their "seisoness". In Hololive, "seiso" is a measurement of one's purity and good nature, with it also being shown that one's level of "seiso" makes them pure, to the degree where one who's "unseiso" (or basically impure) can't approach someone who's "seiso" without risk of being harmed, as the case when Polka was vaporized by Luna's pure aura
This is relevant to both Sora and Iroha because the latter has the same aura that is described by Polka and Sora should have the same nature given she's more "seiso" than Iroha (also off the implication she's a emissary of Kami and is literal Jesus Christ). This links to the fact that Sora's aura is described as that of "a goddess" and Iroha also having an aura that is akin to a goddess. This indicates both are divine in nature and that their true nature is akin to "divine energy"
This is further supported by the fact that Hololive draws from religious faiths such Gnoticism, including the concept of "Godhead", which is the idea of everything having a piece of "god" in them. In the case of Iroha and Sora, it's in a literal sense, with them being the "god energy" of Kami and emanations of it. So to summerize, Sora and Iroha are extensions of Kami and are "god energy" in their true forms, just being merely divine emanations as opposed to "human"
Conclusions[]
So yeah, that's pretty much an in-depth explanation of certain things in Hololive, this prolly won't be used on the pages aside from the High-Godly section, as it'll be a justification for why V-Tubers are revised from Mid-Godly to High-Godly. Either way, yeah, Hololive can be complicated and this blog is another example of such
