Given that the meteors are summoned in swarms, as shown here, it's very likely that it's coming from The Asteroid Belt
- The Asteroid Belt is about 1.2 to 2.2 AU from Earth (or about 1.496e+11 to 3.291e+11 meters)
- The time it takes for the meteors to reach Earth is literally a second
Now that we have our information, let's actually calculate this:
- Low-End: Moving 1.2 AU in 1 second would warrant a speed of 598c (Massively FTL)
- High-End: Moving 2.2 AU in 1 second would warrant a speed of 1,097c (Massively FTL+)
Conclusions[]
This would mean that Meteor is either Massively FTL or Massively FTL+ when used by The Zodiac. The issue is who would scale ? Well besides obviously The Zodiac, there's also the fact Golem and others who can dodge this spell. Keep in mind, in Etrian Odyssey, spells can be unlocked at basically any time, so this isn't necessarily a spell that's restricted to the end-game party
