Memory Manipulation is the ability to manipulate the memories of one's own mind or even the minds of others. Through manipulating the stored events within the minds of individuals, users of this ability can potentially modify, fabricate, suppress, erase or even view the memories of others. This can be taken further by advanced users who can potentially use this to cause amnesia, confuse opponents or provoke a feeling of nostalgia
Types[]
- Mental: One can potentially effect memories through the consciousness or mind. This control over memories is more direct as it's directly effecting the memories within the consciousness of an individual as opposed to other indirect means
- Biological: Another way to effect memories is through the biological functions of an individual, specifically controlling things such as brain cells or the stems that rely memories to the brain
- Emotional: Users of this variety can effect memories through emotions, albeit is usually limited to effecting existing memories only
- Informational: This form of memory control is akin to how one would be able to access and control the data stored within a hard drive, with the memories being an ordinary array of information
Limitations[]
- Those who possess mental defenses or psychic shields might not be effected by their abilities
- This is irrelevant against beings who possess Omniscience as they know everything and thus no memory can be removed as their knowingness is infinite
- Some users are limited in range, with some even having to rely on touch for it to work
- May be limited to being able to manipulate existing memories as opposed to creating new ones
