Summary[]
Flight is the ability to fly without any influence, whether it be in an atmosphere or in the vacuum of space. Some possibilities include using one or more forms of energy, wings or similar structures, harnessing anti-gravitons, or even mimicking or becoming an animal that can fly.
Methods/Types of Flight[]
There are many ways to achieve flight within the realms of fiction. These can range from simple acceleration without outside influence or more complex methods
- Restricted Flight: A variation of Flight in which the user can fly, but only in limited amounts of time. This can also include restricted abiliites to fly, such as Levitation
- Pseudo-Flight: A variation of Flight that involves utilizing teleportation or successive jumps to achieve a simulated version of flight (I.E Teleporting over and over to reach a distance location)
- Technological Flight: A variation of Flight in which users utilize technology or artifical methods. This can include creating wings, machines made for flight and many other forms. Only downside being that their flight is reliant on that technology
- Flight via Powers: This variation of Flight stems from the user utilizing their other abilities to grant themselves a form of flight. Such examples include lowering gravity to simulate flight or using control over air to achieve flight of some form
- True Flight: A form of Flight that involves the user being able to freely fly in an atmosphere or vacuum for long periods on end. These types of users can fly for excessive amounts of time and not have to worry about any drawbacks
