Introduction[]

Many works that are meant to be serious pieces of fiction derive themselves from already existing interllectual properties. This is what is defined as a fanon or a AU as some would like to call. There have been many fanon series that are meant to be taken seriously and have their own self contained universe (usually with their scaling and other traits of a liscenced verse). These types of series aren't disallowed on this wikia and they allow for me creative freedom. This page is meant to elaborate on the regulations regarding these types of pages

Regulations[]

  • Author Approval: This isn't exactly a required regulation, however if a series is recognized by the official creators of a particular series and or is considered worthy of being assiocated with their works, then more than likely it can be on the wikia. Of course, if this is the case, it will have to be verified by officials of the wikia and such methods include via social media or some other source
  • Mood/Tone: A series has to be serious (even if it's slighty) and series that are purely gags or jokes aren't allowed, instead being more applicable for JBW. In essence, seriousness has to be an overraching tone with the series and it has to be something that have somewhat of a narrative to it and isn't just mindless jokes with no narrative or story to tie things together (even if the narrative is serial in nature; I.E each story is exclusive to an episode and doesn't connect to another episode, similar to cartoons like Spongebob or Looney Tunes)
  • Scaling: Fanon series are NEVER to scale to the mainline series, unless an author possesses full knowledge of how powerful a character is or they are aware of some of the feats they preformed. Such examples would include a fan series where Darkseid's fall on the multiverse during Final Crisis is referenced (in which, this would mean True Darkseid should be as powerful as he was in the original series). If an author is a huge fan of a series, then it's very likely they know how powerful a series is and to add on, if they incoporate feats from the original, then it's likely they are the same within the universe

What's Not Allowed[]

OCs (Original Characters): Original characters are not allowed and what this wikia considers an OC is the following

  • Characters with no background and are usually just reskins of existing characters with no significant changes
  • Characters who exist for the sole purpose of either being shipped with a main character or doesn't have a purpose beyond being joke fuel

Trollpasta: Characters who come from creepypasta that aren't meant to be taken seriously aren't allowed

  • They often are just purely joke fuel and aren't meant to be taken seriously in terms of narrative focus or anything that an actual series focuses on to maintain quality and good reception

Fanfiction Characters: Characters who originate from a fanfiction are usually not allowed

  • Characters from fanfics generally fall under why OCs aren't allowed + they usually have no feats to scale on their own and instead scaling to already existing characters from an IP who within that setting have no feats or have miniscule feats to scale outside of assuming they are the official characters

Examples of Series Allowed[]

  • Certain Undertale AUs (such as Glitch Tale, Underverse and many others)
  • Mobtalker (Albeit, technically still falls under official)
  • Certain Creepypasta (Such as Sonic.EXE, Godzilla NES, several Pokemon Creepypasta and ETC.)
  • The many Minecraft Novels (Which technically count as Extended Universe)

Notes[]

Note 1: If a character meets the criteria above, don't apply it to the canon profiles or any canon composites. This is done because they are fanon and don't truly count as officially liscenced material. They should stay within their own bubble of continuity and apply itself or the many other IPs that are related to it that are also fanon as well

Note 2: If you have a verse or character that doesn't meet these requirements, then making it into a blog is always a viable options and this can be done as it's not considered an official page on the wikia. That way it stays on the site, but still isn't cataloged as a page on the actual wikia itself. Additionally, these characters can be used in fights (within the playing around board), however if an official character loses to these, then it doesn't get added to the official character's losses (however the contrary is different; If a fanon character that's on a blog beats an official one, then that can go on the fanon character's victories and likewise for losses)
