~ Auron, talking to his fellow Guardians

Character Synopsis[]

Auron is a character who originates from Final Fantasy X. He is the supporting character and mentor of Tidus, alongside being a legendary Guardian who has assisted summoners in various pilgrimages. Auron was formerly a warrior monk who was supposed to marry the daughter of a Yevon priest, which he refused out of not having interest.

Auron was enlisted as one of the Guardians or his pilgrimage, alongside Jecht. They eventually arrive at Zanarkand, where Jecht decided to be the one to become the fayth for Braska's Final Aeon, which would "defeat" sin, at the expense of Jecht's loss of humanity. Auron is outraged by the cycle of summoners and guardians needing to sacrifice, thus he attempts to stop it before being stuck down and later killed by Lady Yunalesca. He managed to reach Bevelle, where he tasked the newly-disgraced Kimahri with protecting Yuna, before dying of his injuries.

During the events of Final Fantasy X, Auron takes the form of an Unsent and continues to watch over Tidus, as Jecht made him promise to do. He acts as a guide and mentor to the entirety of Yuna's Guardians, alongside serving as a major contribute to their pilgrimage before being sent back to the Farplane to rest
