Character Synopsis[]

The Abyssal God is the main antagonist of Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City. In lore, The Abyssal God is described as a powerful alien-like creature that travels around space and conquers other planets. After taking over planets, it destroys all life on the world and makes its own race the main one that inhabits the planet. It went unstoppable for eons until another being, known as the Yggdrasil Tree started chasing after it in order to put an end in its rampage. It attempted to hide within the ocean, but Yggdrasil sealed it away by covering it in roots. Now sealed deep into the sea, it simply lies in wait for an opportunity to finally break free and restart the cycle of destruction.
